Still can’t dance
When Lyssi asked me if I was available to raid yesterday, my initial thought was “probably not.” I was supposed to work until after raid start time and I had barely eaten anything for lunch. To make it on time would be difficult, to make it on time and get food before would be even more so. (Since I’m on the west coast trying to hold off dinner until the end of raid at 8:30/9 would have not been pretty.)
Plus I wasn’t sure what they were running, so if they were running something new I would also have to build in time to research strats. So I was thinking no, but then she said they were doing MSV so I started to waver. I was able to sneak out early move some things around and even get some food and made a fashionably late appearance.
Poor Zarigar. He was abandoned so long I don’t want to know how many things in his mail he lost. (Thanks again, Arv!) Even just looking at his toolbars I was like “wtf is going on here?” For some odd reason Zarigar and Khiaren–both elemental shaman–have different talents. I don’t really know what kind of game plan I had going on there.
We get to the stone doggies and my favorite the jasper one is there. He chains me to Stunnah’s shaman, Smutt, and we do the little chain dance of avoiding pools. Little did I know that that would be foreshadowing of how intertwined Smutt and I would be.
The drops were a spellcasting shammy’s dream come true. Even the things that weren’t shammy specific–rings, cloak, etc–were thrown at us since everyone else already had better.
And thus we started the You Take It game. Other guilds have loot drama over ninjas and who gets what loot. Ours comes from over-politeness.
“I can use it if he can’t.”
“Oh, no, you take it. I insist.”
“Really, I couldn’t.”
“Thank you, you’re too kind.”
It was especially awkward for me, because a lot of the stuff was upgrades, but they were small upgrades. It feels weird to say I need something to replace an LFR purple when someone else might need it to replace a blue. So, really, my stock answer was “I could use it if Smutt can’t.”
Meanwhile everyone else was like MAKE UP YOUR DAMNED MINDS!! ONE OF YOU TAKE IT!!! I think a set of shoulders got placed in my bag just so we could avoid the 5-minute dialogue after one boss kill.
After MV there was enough time to start HoF. Oh, the Attunement boss. To get back to the title of this post, yeah, still can’t dance. Some attempts were better than others. I was, of course, dead for the boss kill.
*shakes fist*
One day, bug, you will be mine.

Except for when the gear is something Shadey and I both want, then the rolling happens.

Lol, your welcome bud! At first when I got the returned email, I was thinking, “But I already have this.” Then I saw my message in the body and realized that it was returned. Damn, it has been a while since you last checked Zari’s mail!
I talked to Stunnah today and he said he was pretty appreciative for all the loot he got last night. It was only a week or so ago that he was complaining that he couldn’t get the last 2 ilvls needed to get into LFR….he ended jumping up 12 points last night, lol.

Well, we enjoyed having both him and Zari along.
Kinda funny. Raiding brings with it so many opportunities for anger, stress, and drama … yet our group manages to always have a good time.
